Skofield Reservoir Replacement Project

Project Description: The $2 Million project includes the removal of an historic reservoir tank located in a remote location above Santa Barbara with limited access (20% grade on narrow cliff-side access road). The reservoir is being replaced by a 500,000 gallon welded steel above ground tank. The project included 5000 cubic yards of spoils off-haul taken from the precarious hillside/rock face and trucked down the mountain. The project also included a 65 foot high decorative Shotcrete retaining wall sculpted to blend with the natural adjacent rock face.
