(AERATED SLUDGE HOLDING TANKS)

Mimiaga Engineering Group is providing Construction Management services to the Carpinteria Sanitary District as a subconsultant to MNS Engineers. The complex $5M project is being completed in stages to prevent disruption of the treatment facility. A new disinfection Chemical Feed Facility is being constructed and commissioned to allow for demolition of the existing and aging chemical facility. Demolition of the existing chemical facility is necessary to make room for new construction. Existing and failing Aerated Sludge Holding Tanks are being demolished in sequence. New and improved Aerated Sludge Holding Tanks are being constructed. New positive displacement aeration blowers, solids feed pumps and a solids transfer pump are being installed within an existing pipe gallery. New equipment controls and a fiber optic communication loop are also part of the project.
